The IT Project Services Team is a new IT-wide organization, which supports the long-term success of Bank’s IT by providing high quality consulting and project management services for strategic IT initiatives.
The Team will have a Global Lead based in London and Regional Management teams located in the UK, US, Zurich and Singapore. The Project Services Team will actively support the CIO and functional/regional heads in IT transformation projects by providing comprehensive and efficient project work based on best practices.
The Team will also support the application development and technology infrastructure units in CIO-sponsored programs
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
The Regional Lead will be responsible for the setup of the IT Project Services Team from a staffing, budget, and pipeline management perspective. In addition, he/she will be responsible for sourcing, directing, managing and executing complex IT programs.
Primary responsibilities involve:
- Developing the IT Project Services service offering including its mandate, engagement model and marketing materials
- Designing and developing the IT Project Services budget and funding model
- Engaging key IT stakeholders to market the IT Project Services group and identify project demand
- Sourcing internal and external candidates to complete the agreed upon staffing model and targets
- Scoping and appropriately staffing complex IT programs along with key IT counterparts
- Managing, executing and delivering on complex IT programs
- Ensuring the regional IT Project Services team is supported from a project pipeline, training, performance management, and career development perspective
- Coaching, shaping and leading regional IT Project Services team members to become future leaders in the bank
- Managing the progress of all programs against quality standards, targets and budgets and challenging actions, results and activities where necessary
- Effectively communicating with key IT stakeholders on program progress
- Taking responsibility for quality assurance within the program by overseeing that Project Services methodologies, standards and procedures are being implemented regionally
- Establishing credibility with all levels of IT management
Skills and Attributes Required:
The candidate must have:
- Banking or consultancy background (15 years + experience) and a strong understanding of structured program management in the banking arena.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering large complex programs within a banking environment (5 years + experience)
- Strong presentation development skills
- Proven ability to communicate with all levels of Management in a clear, concise manner
Proven organizational, leadership and management skills:
- Ability to command a room and manage big meetings with many participants
- Ability to communicate effectively to senior managers
- Ability to command attention from senior managers
- Ability to produce clear, concise reporting
- Solid strategic analysis, problem solving, issue resolution and decision making skills

PRINCE 2 or other structured program / project management qualifications
