“Development Manager - VP Level (BPM / BPMN with J2EE)" based in Manila with a top tier Investment Bank – Permanent position

Role Description:
- The Development Manager BPM/BPMN is responsible for development, delivery and support of BPM (Business process Management) related projects for the Bank’s professional service center in Manila.
- The BPM IT product manager will head a BPM Development team, working closely with Business Analysts, users and other business process authors in the Finance domain to assist in the configuration and development of BPM applications for the Bank.
- Ensures that sound development, documentation and testing techniques are implemented to turn “as-is” or “to-be” processes from BPMN notation into a solid working application.
- Responsible for coordinating and working with resources from Finance and IT project teams (development, data modeling, database administration) in developing BPM applications
- Works with Application Architect and Information Architect to develop solutions that advance best practices within enterprise architecture type frameworks.
- Handles multiple project assignments, manage and negotiate work load with delivery leads, escalate issues as necessary, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Experience:
- 12+ years IT development and management experience
- Job progression should include hands on development experience, development team leader, architecture and group management
- Investment Banking experience is a MUST
- Must be able to demonstrate complex project delivery
- International management experience e.g. must have worked outside of the Philippines for multi-national organization

Management:
- Team and group management
- People skills
- Large priorities management experience e.g. multi reporting lines, conflicting priorities etc.
- Must be self-starter and able to motivate the team i.e. “can do”-attitude
- Takes responsibility for actions and leads by example

Technical:
- Developer experience i.e. must have been hands on developer and understand the software development life cycle
- Corporate development managing outsource vendors does not qualify
- 5+ years of Java and J2EE experience (must be up to date with currents standards but may not be an active developer)
- Experience in Oracle, Application servers, ETL / integration tool sets and BPM tooling
- BPM development and implementation experience (any vendor package)

The ideal candidate would come from IB background, undertaking hand development and demonstrate job progression from developer, development team lead to manager with architecture role. This should be coupled with business understanding, strong interest in the technology and a focus on delivery.
