Main Function:
The business analyst will be leading the strategic data sourcing, analysis and delivery for the build out of the Risk & Finance Data Warehouse (RFDW) for APAC, predominately interacting with the Front Office IT & Finance IT groups and Finance businesses (Financial & Product Control functions).
Main Duties:
Requirements Analysis
• Work with Finance and Product Control to fully understand their data requirements.
• Understand the Front Office environment and engage Front Office teams to drive the delivery of enterprise data.
• Understand the products and processes that relate to them so that data can be mapped into the RFDW database.
Source Systems analysis
• Work collaboratively with business subject matter experts and technical staff from the different asset classes to understand the new data sources (at attributes level) to be stored in the data warehouse.
• Define the upstream external interfaces and ensure they meet the data warehouse design standards.
• Define appropriate business rules for validating all source data (transactions, positions, risk sensitivities, reference data etc).
• Analyze existing feeds, review system documentations and interview business and technical subject matter experts to understand existing processes.
Data transformation & delivery
• Work with the RFDW development team to define data delivery approach that meets consumer requirements
• Analyze the logic required to transform source data attributes to the target.
• Clearly document the logic for programmers to implement the transformation.
• Ensure that transformation logic is in line with data warehouse overall design strategy.
Testing
• Responsible for coming up with testing strategy and test plan
• Work with QA to drive out the F2B testing of data delivery and consumption
• Face off business & IT users during SIT, UAT.
Data warehouse on-going improvements initiatives
• Actively participate in initiatives and architectural reviews to improve the effectiveness of the data warehouse – in order to improve reliability, scalability and maintainability
• Propose standard templates, reference documents, requirements traceability matrices, etc that can be used to effectively capture new data sourcing requirements
• Actively participate in firm wide strategic initiatives
Experience required:
• The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn quickly and also demonstrate a track record of effective business analysis and design.
• The candidate should have minimum of 6 years experience as a business analyst, 4 years in investment banking and should have worked a minimum of 4 years in a data warehousing environment preferably in a data sourcing & integration role.
• Business knowledge: In depth knowledge of at least one asset class with detailed understanding of Front to Back trade and business events (Trade Capture, events, Cash Settlement, Confirmation, EOD Valuation) is mandatory. Prior experience on an integration programme.
• Technical knowledge: Extensive experience in data analysis, ability to write SQLs, should have worked with data feeds and understand data models.

• Demonstrable knowledge of core C++ concepts and STL. The candidate must understand pitfalls and performance criteria linked to all commonly used aspects of STL.
• Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of threading. Various thread models, implementations, and specific OS implementations.
• Good design sense, including knowledge of useful design approaches in this domain. Candidate must have actively used design patterns in the past implementations and demonstrate strong understanding on design patterns of why and where a pattern should be used.
• Working knowledge of J2SE (core Java)
• Strong analytical skills required to investigate and solve technical problems.
• Strong team player with very good communication skills and ability to coordinate different tasks and work with different stakeholder groups.
• Flexible to work on both C++ and Java based systems (the initial focus will be on C++)
• Scripting experience (Shell, Perl etc.)
• Working knowledge of a RDMS system
• Messaging middleware such as TIBRV / EMS
• FIX protocol
• Business domain knowledge in Equities or electronic trading.
• Experience of working with Front Office systems.

“Prime Services C++/Java/Sybase developer – AVP Level” based in Singapore with a top tier Investment Bank. High Base + Bonus + Benefits.
Main Function
The requirement is for strong developer within the Prime Services FX Intermediation team to:
• Work on C++ server side and database components. However some experience of JAVA GUI development skill is desirable.
• Analyse, develop and test the system
• Maintain and enhance the system
Main Duties
Analysis, Development, Testing
Would be expected to carry out all steps of the development lifecycle
• Analysing business requirements to find the most appropriate method for incorporating them into Bank’s PB
• Documenting any new development or enhancements
• Unit / system / regression / performance testing those requirements
• Reviewing code produced by others
• Working with the business representatives during the UAT stage
• Supporting the implementation of each new code release.
• Supporting the production systems
Technical Architecture
• Review technical designs to ensure they fit the existing architecture
• Look to drive the architecture forward
Person Requirements
Essential Preferred
Qualifications /Education: • Educated to Degree level 1st class or 2:1
Experience required: • C++: Must have extensive experience of writing multi threaded server programs – all work is Linux based.
• Sybase: Must have experience of using SQL, and ability to write stored procedures, triggers and knowledge of optimisation techniques.
• Experience of N-tier architecture applications, including knowledge of performance and maintenance issues, as well as an understanding of the distinction between tiers. • Java: Experience of writing server applications using Java would be desirable.
• Jira familiarity.
• CppUnit and unit testing methodologies.
• Experience of FIX
• Experience of Oracle
