Main Function
The Credit Technology group is looking for a hands-on DB2/Java developer with strong financial industry experience in developing and maintaining the Credit Data Warehouse system. The primary focus of this position will be to develop and enhance the Credit Data Warehouse system in line with the business strategy for various credit products. This role involves working closely with the global development team to work on various platforms and to deliver projects in a timely fashion.
Main Duties
• Liaise with business users and other development groups to gather ongoing requirements
• Take responsibility for projects to meet these ongoing requirements
• Apply design and system architecture skills to ensure continual increase in performance and stability of the core system
• Produce documented and tested software for delivery to production
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Low level design of solution
• Coding and unit testing of the solution
• Work with testers to verify the solutions
• Rework defects and take part in defect analysis
Experience Required:
• Experience in working with DB2 involving DB tuning and performance enhancements.
• Design of Data Warehouse DB
• Core Java
• Knowledge of Credit Based Products
Skills Required:
• 6+ years of Core Java, J2EE development and design experience in the financial industry
• SQL DB2
• Excellent communicator, good with users, able to work well in a cross-disciplined team and alone with minimum supervision.
• Pro-active, thorough, organized and energetic.
• Talarian/TIBCO
• Perl scripting
