“Senior Test Analyst (Manual Testing) – AVP Level" based in Singapore with a top tier Investment Bank – Permanent position

Main Function:
- Develop test cases to validate new functionality
- Manual testing of new functionality and regression of existing functionality
- Strong SQL skills to perform database validations
- Strong Excel and VBA scripting experience

Main Duties:
Testing & Analysis Would be expected to carry out all aspects of the test cycle.

This will include:
- Detailed manual testing of new functionality & regression of existing functionality. This includes Server & Client testing. Validation will be performed against the server & java logs, database, XML messages between the client & server as well as the front end applications.
- Using the logs, database etc., perform comprehensive analysis of any error to assist in working out the root cause of the issue prior to recording in a defect tracking tool.
- Working with developers to resolve issues.
- Validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process.
- Identifying test conditions from project documentation and developing test cases which provide full coverage.
- Acquire knowledge transfer from Developers or Business Analysts who are expert in the relevant functional domain.
- Coordination with the business representatives during the UAT stage and ascertaining business sign off.

Communication:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team members, project members, managers and users.
- Must be able to participate in discussions within the team, communicating any issues that have a project-wide scope to the necessary level.
- Must be able to participate in a culture of “knowledge sharing” within the development team. Motivation
- Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellence. Quality
- Must have strong knowledge of the software quality lifecycle.
- Must also be able to maintain testing standards and ensure that they are adhered to, as well as proactively trying to add to these standards whenever possible.

Experience required:
- Must be able to demonstrate strong business skills
- A working knowledge of Test Management tool - Quality Center.
- Previous experience of detailed manual functional testing & structured testing methodology experience
- Strong SQL and Excel skills.
- Previous work on a front office trading applications / Middle office applications.
- Exposure to Automation - Straight through processing knowledge
- Must have 2 years investment banking experience
