“Support Lead / IT Operations Team Lead (Middle/Back office production applications environments) – AVP Level” based in Singapore

Department Overview:
Securities IT division of the Bank operates as a core part of the business and considered to be part of the front line. The division is co-located with the business in a fast paced and changing environment. We are currently looking for a capable experienced IT Operations Lead to oversee our cash securities middle/back office production applications environments, based in Singapore

Main Function/Duties:
Working closely with the business you will be responsible management of the global equities middle and back office IT production environment, applications and support team to provide a first and second line high quality, performance, availability and responsive service to cash equities operations and finance users globally. You will also work closely with the IT Ops managers in other locations to build a rolling 24x7, support model.

Your role will cover incident, change and problem management, capacity management and monitoring, escalating to local business and global IT management when required. You will also manage the delivery of change into production in equities applications in Asia, ANZ and globally partnering with the infrastructure, development and other global IT to ensure the seamless delivery of business service. Additionally your role will cover operational risk, DR/BCP co-ordination, small process improvements, vendor relationships, cost management, process improvements and staff management.

Ideally you will have:
• Experience in leading operating investment banking equities middle and back office technology environments or similar high-demand IT operation models
• University degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
• Sound technical experience in fast paced working environments
• A strong customer service focus and the ability to deliver quality support
• Good communication skills along with a strong customer service focus
• The ability to harness local and distributed teams
• The flexibility to cheerfully deal with conflicting and ever changing priorities
• The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions to systems problems
• A background in driving change across IT organisations
• The ability to think strategically and remain focused on the big picture while responding to immediate business demands
• Strong commitment to completion and delivery

Business skills:
• Strong working knowledge cash equities products
• An understanding of commercial business drivers and an appreciation of these in the context of technology support

Technical requirements:
• Experience of ITIL processes and IT Service Management tools e.g. Remedy, ITRS, Control M
• Good working knowledge of Oracle, SQL
• Java 1.4/1.5
• Experience working with SYN, Webmethods (ideal but not imperative)
