"Test Manager (Server & Client testing) - AVP" based in Singapore with a top tier Investment Bank. ISEB certification & with strong experience in SQL & Backend testing in an Investment Bank is MUST

Main Function:
· Delivering test projects against functionality, schedule, cost and quality
· Develop test cases to validate new functionality
· Hands on manual testing of new functionality and regression of existing functionalityPeople management of testers

Main Duties:
Deliver testing functionality requested by the Business Sponsor. This includes:
· Liaison with the end customer during the requirements gathering and analysis phase. This may entail significant periods of travel
· Oversight to the team during analysis, design, execution and delivery of the solution
· Detailed manual testing of new functionality & regression of existing functionality. This includes Server & Client testing. Validation will be performed against the server & java logs, database, as well as the front end applications
· Using the logs, database etc., perform comprehensive analysis of any error to assist in working out the root cause of the issue prior to recording in a defect tracking tool
· Working with developers to resolve issues
· Validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process
· Improving the defined Software Engineering Processes via the Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG)
· Identifying test conditions from project documentation and developing test cases which provide full coverage
· Acquire knowledge transfer from Developers or Business Analysts who are expert in the relevant functional domain
· Coordination with the business representatives during the SIT stage and ascertaining business sign off
· Liaison with the end customer during the requirements gathering and analysis phase
· Estimation of effort, schedule and cost of the solution
· Test summary and defect report creation and disseminationAssignment of test activities & Verification of the solution

This is a hands on role and includes the following planning and tracking:Change requests, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, People, Communications, Project Risks

Line management of ~10 Test Analysts.

Job Requirements:
· ISEB Foundation Certification in Software Testing
· A minimum of 8 years of experience in Software Testing
· A minimum of 4 years of experience in successfully managing projects
· In depth knowledge of and proven track record in software testing lifecycle
· In depth knowledge across different types of testing
· Strong in SQL and backend testing experience
· Previous hands on experience of detailed manual functional testing & structured testing methodology
· Experience on Oracle would be highly preferred
· Experience on Autosys would be highly preferred
· Exposure to Automation
· Good in Quality Center along with a working knowledge of Test Director and Clear Quest
· Able to communicate with people at all levels of the organization. Must understand the software development life cycle. Realize the importance of the different levels of testing and always ensure deadlines are met. Customer focused – Must have very strong customer service skills and be keen to deliver a first class service
