“Development Manager (C#/.Net, MS SQL) – VP Level” based in Singapore with a top tier Investment Bank.

Main Function:
This role is to be the Development Manager in Singapore within the Cross Product Operations IT facing unit, managing across two teams of developers in the delivery of solutions to a global user base.

The Trident programme is the re-architecture of the existing trade documentation function for all derivatives business. Trident is the platform of choice for derivatives confirmations processing and forms part of the front-to-back Bank Strategic Architecture Programme. Trident is an in-house custom build and will be delivered in multiple phases for the new businesses being on-boarded.

Nikko provides a reporting platform that captures daily trade activity across a broad set of asset classes from multiple systems using both traditional flat files and Bank’s Strategic Architecture to report on key trade activity that meets ‘Financial Instruments and Exchange Law’ (FIEL) requirements for the Japanese business.

Technical Responsibilities:
You will…
• Manage technical development for the Singapore Development team.
• Stakeholder management for the Nikko application.
• Line management responsibilities for the local development team.
• Close liaison with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Test Teams to understand scope, priorities, dependencies, key drivers and timelines.
• Ensure issues and risks are managed and escalated when appropriate with the Project Manager.
• Oversee the development cycle to ensure the adherence of defined processes.
• Communicate effectively and operate well within the core group of the project manager, team leads and the test manager.
• Ability to quickly adapt developers’ workloads for changing priorities.
• Forward planning of development resources and streams.
• Overseeing and being engaged with the design of solutions.
• Involved in the technical development of engineers assigned to projects.
• Recruitment and hiring process.
• Coaching and mentoring on technical issues.
• Career Management.

Experience Requirements:
You should have…
• 10+ years of experience with solid, proven track record of managing the delivery of a complex software solution in an investment bank.
• Experience of managing a development team of 10+ developers in an investment bank environment.
• Technical aptitude is required but in-depth C#/.Net, MS SQL and architectural expertise.
• Working experience in the field of derivative confirmations and/or regulatory reporting within an Investment Bank.
• Experience in working with Agile development.
• Experience of using Clearcase or Perforce.
