“Senior SAS Consultant – Business Analytics & Data Mining” Permanent role based in Singapore

Job Function:
The Senior Consultant demonstrates in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge to deliver consulting/software services by defining project outcomes, organising their own work and the work of others. The role requires a working knowledge of a variety of technical processes as well as the ability to evaluate and modify approaches to meet requirements. Mentors and coaches colleagues. The candidate must be proficient in using SAS Enterprise Miner to build statistical models and analytical reports.

Job Requirements:
• Degree in Statistics/IT or equivalent technical studies/work experience or Master's degree in a quantitative field or related field with knowledge of data mining techniques
• 8-10 years of experience with at least last 4-5 years in the field of Business Analytics
• Sound knowledge in the model lifecycle management, statistics and data modeling techniques
• Data mining experience using Enterprise Miner and/or SPSS Clementine
• Forecasting experience using SAS ETS, SAS Forecast Studio or Equivalent Software
• Certification in SAS STATS is added plus
• Ability to performs the business analysis and able to build the mining models independently
• Ability to build analytical reports from the model results and interprets the statistical terms.
• Project management experience will be an added plus
• Ability to communicate with people with various technical backgrounds, think analytically, write and edit technical material, and relate statistical concepts and applications to statistical and non-statistical SAS users.
• Experienced in any three of the below listed models
o Churn prediction models with profiling
o Market basket model
o Cross-sell/up-sell model
o Segmentation models
o Application and behavioural scoring
• Industry Experience around Banking, Telecommunications etc.
• Subject Matter / Domain Knowledge around Customer Analytics / Fraud Management /
• Able to build ABT (Analytical base table) for the model undertaken
• Expert knowledge on usage of SAS Enterprise Miner
• Knowledge in SAS programming, advanced macros, stored process and SAS STATS/GRAPHS etc. are added plus.
