Position Summary:
Exciting career opportunity that provides a test development role in the AutoCAD Engineering team, which is involved in the design and implementation of next generation features for AutoCAD and Platform products.
Role:
As a Test Engineer, you will apply end user workflows to plan, develop, execute, and maintain test strategies to detect software quality issues early in the development cycle and track them to resolution. In this role, you will validate functionality, stability, usability and performance of next generation features of AutoCAD based products and meet product goals from a customer perspective.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create test plans and test designs to thoroughly test a functionality or feature
• Using User Interface, command line or scripts, test the functionality, performance, workflow, installation, globalization and interoperability of functionality and features
• Manually execute test designs to find defects in features and prioritize them
• Write test cases based on production workflows, and create scripts for automation
• Process defect reports from product support group
• Work both independently and as an integral member of a high performance team
• Provide input to Technical Publications and review documentation of new features
• Work with extended team of software developers, testers and designers in remote offices
Requirements (Technical skills):
• BS/MS in any Engineering discipline
• 8-10 years of engineering design or software testing experience.
• Familiarity with products: AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Architectural, Revit, Inventor, Civil3D.
• Familiarity with other CAD products: Pro E / Solid Works /CATIA / Micro Station will be an asset
• Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving software problems (analyzing alternatives, risks and benefits)
• Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
• Familiarity with software engineering methodologies and life cycle

• Willingness to work extended hours as required to deliver projects
• Ability to work well in a team to deliver on team goals
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English language
• Self-directed and require minimal supervision
